According to MSI, the new Creator and Gaming lineups will bring a 30 percent performance upgrade compared to earlier models, offer PCIe Gen4, Thunderbolt 4, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and bring MSI-exclusive features like "Discrete Graphics Mode". MSI's Creator series of laptops will offer True Pixel QHD+ and Mini LED displays.
Creator series for content creators
MSI has announced two new Creator series laptops, the Creator Z16, the Creator M16, and the Creator 17.
The Creator Z16 and M16 will both come with True Pixel QHD+ IPS 16:10 displays, as well as high-end CNC-milled slim aluminum chassis. Both will also come with Intel's latest 11th gen Core Tiger Lake-H CPU options, Nvidia RTX 3060 for Z16 and RTX 3050 Ti/3050 for the M16, up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, and more.
The Creator 17 is a whole different beast, designed around a 17.3-inch UHD mini LED IPS screen with HDR 1000 rating. It comes with up to Intel's Core i9 Tiger Lake-H CPU, up to Nvidia RTX 3080 Mobile graphics card, two NVMe M.2 PCIe4 SSDs, up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, and more.
Gaming laptop lineups also get an update
MSI has also updated its full lineup of gaming laptops, including the GE Raider, GS Stealth, and GP Leopard, as well as bring the new Pulse GL, Sword, and Katana GF lines of laptops.
All of these are meant to cover different gaming laptop segments, and come with Intel's latest Tiger Lake-H series CPUs, Nvidia RTX 30 series Mobile GPUs, 15- and 17-inch high refresh rate gaming displays, and aforementioned MSI-exclusive gaming features, like the Discrete Graphics Mode, Cooler Boost 5, mystic light bar, and more.
