According to Samsung, the Exynos 2400 SoC will have a 1.7x increase in CPU performance and an impressive 14.7x higher AI performance, compared to the Exynos 2200 SoC. It also confirmed that the Exynos 2400 will come with Xclipse 940 GPU based on AMD's RDNA 3 architecture, giving it "enhanced ray tracing capability" and " global illumination, reflection and shadow rendering."
According to previous rumors, the Exynos 2400 should be based on the Samsung 4nm LPP+ manufacturing process, and most likely be based on a 10-core CPU with 1+2+3+4 configuration, including single Cortex-X4 core, two high-clock Cortex-A720 cores, three lower clocked Cortex-A720 cores, and four low-power Cortex-A520 cores. It will also bring support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage and come with the new Exynos 5300 modem.
Unfortunately, Samsung did not provide further details other than those impressive performance estimates. So far, it looks like an impressive SoC. We are looking forward to seeing the AMD RDNA 3-based Xclipse 940 GPU in action.
