Coming in 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB capacities, the Gigabyte Gen 4 4000E SSD series will peak at 4,000MB/s read and 3,900MB/s write sequential performance. As the name suggests, these use PCIe 4.0 x4 interface with NVMe 1.4 and standard M.2 2280 form-factor.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any random 4K performance and no details regarding the actual controller or NAND. The lower capacity models have slightly lower performance peaking at 3,600/3,000MB/s for the 500GB version and 3,500/1,800MB/s for the 250GB model.
The entire series is backed by a 3-year warranty, and models have an endurance rating of 320WTB for the 1TB mode, 300TBW for the 500GB model, and 150TBW for the 250GB model.
Gigabyte did not announce pricing or availability date but these should start to appear in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
